On Feb 27, 2023 cabinet has approved the proposal to issue an SRO (State Regulatory Order) on providing dual citizenship benefits to Bangladeshis holding citizenship of different countries in the Caribbean.
Bangladeshis can now hold dual citizenship legally with these Caribbean CBI nations applying through citizenship by investment.

- Saint Lucia
- Grenada
- Malta
- Montenegro
- Macedonia (North)
- Any European country (with CBI)
Foreign citizens of Bangladeshi origin (by birth) and their children may apply for a Dual Nationality Certificate (DNC). The final decision lies with the Government of Bangladesh in approving the status of dual citizenship.
