Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and Ajax Software LLC, trading as Citizenship Shop (“Citizenship Shop”, “we”, “us”), Ankerköz 2-4, 1061 Budapest, Hungary. They cover your use of citizenshipshop.com (the “Site”), your client account, program reservations, and the services we arrange for you. You accept these Terms when you use the Site, create an account or make a reservation. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
1. Who may use our services
To open an account or make a reservation, you must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. You may also act as the legal representative of an applicant. We work with clients who can invest US$100,000 or more. We may decline any enquiry or reservation, including where a program is not open to your nationality.
2. What we do
Citizenship Shop is an online platform for citizenship and residence by investment programs. We are licensed partners for the programs we offer, and we work closely with government-authorised agents, approved property developers, fund managers, banks and government units. Our service covers:
- helping you compare programs and investment routes,
- pre-eligibility and due diligence screening,
- assigning an advisor and the authorised agent, developer or fund manager approved for your program, and
- coordinating your application until the government’s decision.
We are not a government authority and we do not decide applications. We are not a law firm, and we do not give legal, tax or investment advice. Your investment funds are paid to the government, approved developer, fund or escrow account set by the program. They are never held by Citizenship Shop.
3. Reservations and fees
- Consultation. Using the Site and your initial consultation are free.
- Reservation. A reservation costs US$500 per program and is paid online at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe. It reserves an advisor for your case and starts the pre-eligibility review. You can reserve several programs in one order.
- Credit. If you go ahead with the program, the reservation is credited in full against our professional fees.
- Quote. Before you commit to anything further, we send you a written quote. It covers the government fees, due diligence fees, professional fees and third-party costs (for example legal, translation, property transfer or bank charges) for your chosen route and family members. If your circumstances, your family composition or the government’s fees change, the quote may be updated.
- Prices on the Site are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Some programs are priced in euros or other currencies, and exchange rates move. See our Disclaimer for how “starting from” prices work.
4. Refund policy – no refunds
All payments made to Citizenship Shop are final and non-refundable. This includes the US$500 reservation and any professional fees.
- No refund is given if you change your mind or cancel, if you are found not eligible for a program, or if you give false or incomplete information.
- No refund is given if we cannot complete our anti-money-laundering checks, or if a government delays, suspends, closes or changes a program, or refuses an application.
- Government fees, due diligence fees and third-party costs are paid to the authority or provider concerned. We cannot refund them. Where a program’s own rules provide a refund, for example after a refused application, that refund is paid under those rules, and we pass on to you any part of it that we receive.
When you pay, you ask us to start work on your case straight away. You accept that you have no right to cancel for a refund once we have started, to the extent the law allows.
5. Your information and declarations
You confirm that the information you give us, and the documents you give us, are true, complete and your own, for yourself and for every family member you include. You will tell us promptly if anything changes. False statements or forged documents can lead governments to refuse or revoke citizenship or residence. If that happens, we will stop work and fees will not be refunded.
6. Source of funds and due diligence
Investment funds must come from lawful sources. We, our partners and the governments carry out identity, anti-money-laundering, sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) checks. You agree to provide the evidence we reasonably ask for. We may decline or stop working on a case if the checks cannot be completed satisfactorily. We may also do so if continuing would breach the law or program rules.
7. Government discretion and program changes
Approval is always at the sole discretion of the relevant government and is never guaranteed. Processing times are estimates. Governments may change a program’s investment amounts, fees or eligibility rules. They may also suspend or close a program. We are not responsible for such changes, but we will tell you about any change we learn of that affects your case.
8. Third-party providers
Your application is prepared with the authorised agent, developer, fund manager, bank, law firm or due diligence provider approved for your program. Each of them is responsible for its own services and may ask you to sign its own agreement. Investment returns, rental guarantees and buy-back arrangements are the obligations of the developer or fund that offers them.
9. Your account
Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, by email, WhatsApp or through your account. You also agree that ticking a box or clicking to accept on the Site has the same effect as a signature.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or sanctions evasion,
- submit false identities or forged documents,
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Site or other users’ data,
- interfere with the Site’s security or operation, or
- scrape or copy the Site in bulk.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
11. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, design, calculators, logo and the Citizenship Shop name belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with a credit and link to the Site. Any other copying or commercial use requires our written permission.
12. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for:
- government decisions or delays,
- changes to programs,
- the acts or omissions of independent third-party providers,
- investment performance, or
- indirect or consequential loss.
Our total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the professional fees you have paid us. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Governing law and disputes
Hungarian law governs these Terms. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any complaint informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts of Budapest, Hungary have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version shown on this page applies from its “Last updated” date. The version in force when you place a reservation applies to that reservation.
