Overview

Established in 1984, the St Kitts & Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme is the oldest programme of its kind in the world and remains the benchmark for the industry. Investors qualify for full citizenship of the Federation – for themselves and their family – through a US$250,000 contribution to the Sustainable Island State Contribution (SISC) or the Public Benefit Option, or through an investment of at least US$325,000 in government-approved real estate.

Applications are processed by the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) in around 4–6 months. Citizenship is granted for life and passes to future generations. Since 14 April 2026 all CBI citizens enrol in the national biometric passport programme, which strengthens the passport's standing with partner countries.
