The minimum investment requirements to get fast track EU citizenship in Malta or Cyprus are as follows
- €900,000 Malta (IIP bonds plus contribution ) for citizenship in 12 months
- €2,000,000 Cyprus (real estate) for citizenship in 6 months
Third country Investors and their families qualify for passports through investment in Malta or Cyprus. One major difference between Malta and Cyprus passport are Malta has visa waiver with United States, while Cyprus does not. Malta is part of the Visa Waiver Program, which enables citizens of Malta to travel to the United States without a visa.
