Overview

Monaco has no formal golden visa, but residence is available to financially independent individuals who deposit at least €500,000 with a Monaco bank (private banks often expect €1 million or more) and secure a home in the Principality. Non-EU nationals first obtain a French long-stay visa.

Applications take around 3–6 months. The residence card starts at one year, then moves to a three-year card and, after ten years, to a ten-year privileged card.
