Overview

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program grants a US green card to investors who invest US$800,000 in a targeted employment area or infrastructure project, or US$1,050,000 elsewhere, creating at least ten full-time US jobs. The investor, their spouse and unmarried children under 21 all receive permanent residence.

Processing of Form I-526E typically takes 2–4 years. Investment amounts are set by the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022, with the next inflation adjustment due on 1 January 2027. Note that US permanent residents are taxed on their worldwide income.
